The publication-dates given on the title-plate and title-pages are 1782, 1785 and 1786. The title of Volumes II, III, reads, 'Lettere Sanesi Del Padre M(aestro) Guglielmo Della Valle Minor(e) Conventuale Socio Dell'Accademia Di Fossano &c. (RR. Accademie Delle Scienze E Agraria Di Torino &c.) Sopra Le Belle Arti Tomo II. (Ultimo.)'. The imprint of Vol. II is 'In Roma Presso Generoso Salomoni'; that of Vol. III., 'In Roma ... Nella Stamperia Di Giovanni Zempel ...'.
The plates are outline drawings and show: v.I. no.[1], a Romanesque arch and Latin inscription; [2]'Sepolcro di Federigo Secondo Imperatore'; v.II. no. [1], a painting of the Massacre of the Innocents by 'Matteus Iohanni Desenis', [2] the Visitation 'Tavola del MCCCCXXV. esistente nella cattedrale di Velletri nella Cappella della Visitazione di padronato della Famiglia Borgia nobile patrizia della medesima cittá'. The books also have title vignettes, head- and tail-pieces, decorated initials.
