$a The frontispiece is a portrait of Fuseli engraved by R.W. Sievier after a miniature by Moses Haughton the younger. The title-page vignette is of ‘Silence’ engraved by John Burnet after Fuseli. The tail-piece [p. 257] `Fantasy portrait of Michelangelo before the Roman Coliseum’ re-engraved by Francis Engleheart for this second edition. (The version in the first edition (1801) was engraved by William Blake after Fuseli’s pen-and-ink preliminary sketch).
