The work consists of 4 volumes of text (for the text see 12/3364) and 2 volumes of plates. The printer statement for the text in the Album [plates] volumes appears on the verso of the half-title: 'Paris, Typographie de Henri Plon, Imprimeur de l'Empereur, rue Garancière, 8'. There is a chromolithographed title-plate in each of the plate volumes with the printer statement, 'Imprimerie Lithographique de Lemercier'.
Album Tome I contains plates I-LXXVI relating to Sculpture, Orfévrerie, Serrurerie; Album Tome II contains plates LXXVII-CXLVIII relating to Peinture, Emaillerie, Mosaïque, Art Céramique, Verrerie, Art d l'Armurier, Horlogerie, Mobilier Civil et Religieux.
