The book is a collection of short poems on painters and their works; it is prefaced by some introductory comments signed by the author, H. R. (Henry Reeve). With an etched title plate signed, in reverse, Anna, perhaps by Mrs. Jameson. The printer statement appears on the verso of p. 39, 'Printed by Richard and John E. Taylor, / Red Lion Court, Fleet Street.'
Binding Note
Bound in a cream textured paper with a black leather label pasted in the centre of the front board. The label has a framing design in gilt and the title 'Graphidæ.' in gilt letters in the centre.
