The front flyleaf of each volume of this set is signed in the upper right corner of the recto side, 'Hy Thomson _ Rome / Feby. 10. 1797.' Henry Thomson R.A. later gifted these volumes to the Royal Academy.
Binding Note
The volumes are bound in red cloth with brown leather labels on the spine lettered in gilt, 'Gemme / Antiche / Figurate' and 'Tom. / I [-IV].' and 'R. A. / 1707 [-1709]'.
