Summary Note
The work describes the collections of paintings bought by the sixth, seventh and eighth ducs d'Arenberg from about 1770 onwards. They were rich in works by Dutch and Belgian painters.
In 1921 much of the collection passed to the Belgian Government and was placed in the Musée d'Art Ancien in Brussels.
