Summary Note
Guido Reni's designs for the decorations erected in honour of Pope Clement VIII's visit to Bologna in 1598 were among his earliest commissions; and the etchings of the present work mark the beginning of his career as a print-maker.
The plates show arches, a column and other decorations.
