General Note
This copy consists of the 5 parts of the work bound in two volumes: parts 1, 2 and 3 in volume 1, and parts 4 and 5 in volume 2. Although claimed to be an 'augmented and corrected' new edition on the titlepage, it is a slightly altered reissue of the sheets of the first edition (1675-1683). The book would have been distributed from Amsterdam as Blondel had been dead 12 years when this 'edition' appeared.
