In preparing this New Edition, we are desirous of putting these popular works before the public in the most perfect manner.

The India Proofs are all printed at hand press from the original wood blocks.

The Edition is limited to One Thousand numbered copies. A few extra copies, which will not be numbered, are printed for presentation.

The Verses, written to the Pictures by Tom Taylor, are here given as in the earlier edition.
