This work consists of seven parts in portfolios, each containing 25 collotype plates. The first two portfolios are titled Baudenkmaeler in Grossbritannien und Irland, the rest carry the shorter title, Baudenkmaeler in Grossbritannien. The first five portfolios are printed with the title, author, list of plates and publication details on the front cover; the final two portfolios have only the title, author and publisher printed on the front cover. Inside part 6 [Lieferung 6] is a blue paper wrapper with title, author, publication details and, pasted on the wrapper, the list of plates. Also in this part is found a title-page for the the first part, dated 1894, and 21 pages comprising an 'Overview of the architecture in England' with a full list of the plates in parts 1-7. Part 7, like part 6, has a blue wrapper with the title and publication details and the list of plates pasted to the wrapper, as well as a title-page for the second part, dated 1894. The plates have captions in German, French and English.
Binding Note
The first five parts are portolios of light blue paper on boards with red cloth spines. There is no lettering on the spines. Parts 6 and 7 are portfolios covered in green cloth with spine lettering in red ink, 'Uhde, Baudenkmaeler In Grossbritannien I [II].'
