$a This work was issued as a supplement to volume I of Augustus Pugin's 'Examples of Gothic architecture' (1831) and appears bound at the end of this library's copy of volume I (q.v.). The lithographic title-plate is lettered 'views illustrative of pugin's Examples of Gothic architecture' within an image of the gateway of Parsonage House, Croydon. The title-plate is dated March 1830. The printer statement appears on the verso of the title-page: 'London: J. Moyes, Took's Court, Chancery Lane.' One of the plates,' Archbishop's Palace, Croydon' [plate 8], appears in this copy to be cut and pasted to a sheet at the end of the work with a note in pencil written above: 'This is Plate 8. Guard Chamber Croydon Palace issued only as a tailpiece.'
