Inserted between pages 52 and 53 is a note on a slip of paper (once folded but now in two pieces) handwritten in ink, almost certainly by the author of the pamphlet: 'The Archbishop on hearing this said that / this circumstance had quite escaped his / memory, he was not however surprised / that Mr S.S. should have recollected it as / most probably it hurt him.'

The printer statement is found on the verso of the title-page and the foot of p. 55: 'J. W. Marriott, East Street, Taunton.'
