Asking Humphry to seek out a man in Knightsbridge who makes "artificial filtring stones", one for two gallons, one for three. They are getting on slowly, with few seamen coming in. Others are witheld by "Grey and his Democratic junto", he wishes the insurers at Loyds would knock Grey on the head. Some of the small privateers have been brought in, others are still out.
