White informs Waterhouse that he had read to the Council of the RIBA the letter of 9 April [1888] from
Mr Eaton, which had explained the whole matter [concerning the invitation to the annual dinner, which had been sent to the late President of the RIBA.] White therefore enclosed the invitation card [not present], which he asked Waterhouse to pass on to the Secretary.
