Content Description

[In reply to a letter from the President and Council of 5 January 1881, in relation to the offer by the Royal Albert Hall to stage an exhibition of "doubtful" works]: the council of the Royal Albert Hall accept that the RA cannot exercise any control over the doubtful pictures, and that the decision rests with the artists themselves. The letter encloses a copy of a resolution of the Royal Albert Hall fine arts committee for the exhibition of 1881, and notice to artists.
