Content Description
Speaks of the news of his mother's death, communicated by Humphry. He asks if Humphry still plans to go to Delhi and Agra and recommends modes of travel. He complains of his creditors and the heavy expense of his "Bungalow", but hopes to pay his debts in 14 months. He also hopes to return to England, but doesn't want to disappoint his father. If he can't find a "cushion to thump" he will learn the art of farming or something. He agrees with Humphry's determination to go back to England in the spring if his health does not improve.
