The letter relates to a desire of the members of Council to have a darker tone of floor in the galleries, rather like that in the Council Room. Lee asks de Gruchy to arrange with Hollands to colour some boards on a experimental basis.
Mr Curtis Green had suggested mixing some Japan Black with the wax.
