She was sorry to read that Humphry's eyes are bad. The Court of Directors have agreed to provide her mother with a pension of £20 per annum. She thinks this a pittance and although her mother is resigned to her fate she is not so patient. Mr. Bazett has signally failed to assist in accordance with their brother's wishes as expressed in his last letter. She fears they will never receive the £300 she thinks they are owed.
