Lady Inglis; in October is pasted an Academy death notice for
George Heming Mason; letter of 1st November from
Marianne Thornton regarding the death of Lady Inglis and her inheritance of Milton Bryant, pasted into November, also in November is pasted a death notice for
Richard Lane, lastly in November is pasted a letter from A. Merritt along with his instructions
on the removal of valuable pictures.; in December is pasted a typescript letter from
Samuel Palmer, also to be found in the dairy for 1869, next to it is a small newspaper cutting on the death of Mr. Catterton Smith, also in December he records the
Queen's command that he should paint the
Princess of Wales; in the place for memoranda he has left a sketch of a half-length, seated woman and a list of works completed; at the rear is a list of members of "The Club", correct to February.
