Report to the President and Council by
Alfred Elmore and
Frederic Leighton into the Preliminary Painting School. The report makes a number of criticisms of the School, including the fact that only the Curator and one student were present during the visit, and none of the stipulated objects of study were present, apart from "a few unimportant casts". The report goes on to make a number of recommmendations for improvements.
