Content Description
Repeating an invitation to Middleton Todd to judge the school's landscape competition the following term. The letter encloses Middleton Todd's draft reply, in which he states that his knowledge of landscape painting is inconsiderable and that he invariably avoids giving talks on painting. He continues by saying that he is not a good talker and dislikes giving talks more than anything else. He therefore asks Treffgarne to forgive him for his inability to accept the invitation.
