Content Description

Lord Bayham has put his case to Pitt, Grenville and Dundas, but they said there could be no governmental interference from home, as Bayham said in his letter [HU/4/79]. Mr. Nepean, urged by Sir George Yonge, has suggested to Mr. Dundas that the government let it be made known to the Ministers of the Nabob Vizier that they would consider the paying of the Bond as an act of Justice in thew Nabob Vizier. He hopes for a favourable outcome and seeks Sir Elijah's advice on how to present his case to the Court of Oude.
