Lloyd was going to take a little tour on the continent, and hoped to meet Gibson somewhere or other. She would meet up with
Miss Hosmer in Paris. If they, Miss Hosmer and
Mr Williams all met up at Lucerne, it would be quite the old family party over again. Lloyd was glad Gibson had safely received the letter relating to the 'Hebe'.
[William] Boxall was better, but "very complaining", and thought art "a sad mistake and a vain delusion." Nevertheless, he went on making the best portraits one saw anywhere. Gibson's portrait had gone to the Dublin exhibition.
