Content Description

He is really sorry for Sir Joshua Reynolds, Humphry's company will be acceptable and amusing for him. Mrs G. Pickford has had a baby boy. [His servant] Bowen will give Humphry a ticket for St. George's hosptial if Humphry would like to visit. George Pickard yesterday buried old Gabriel Stewart in Weymouth Church. The church was crowded, he hopes Gabriel's eldest son will succeed to the post of Paymaster of the Marines.

He returns to Lytchett soon after some good hunting. His family are well. Humphry must ask Bowen for sight of the portrait of Sir John Trenchard by [Charles] Bestland. He asks what Humphry means by asserting the Margravine of Anspatch his cousin if he calls her a "dirty pig".
