Content Description
Flaxman states that he has always avoided popularity and therefore declines his correspondent's offer of a dedication. He then offers some conjectures about the sculptors engaged on King's College Chapel [Cambridge] during the reign of
King Henry VII, and concludes by wishing his correspondent success in his "arduous labours". Flaxman adds further remarks about the sculptors at work on the chapel in the time of
King Henry VI in a postscript.
