Content Description

He and his son have arrived after a journey of seven weeks; some letters he received from England require he asks a favour of Humphry; the managers of the Opera would have him discover the health of the singer Mr. Carabaldi, and whether he can make the trip to England; he also requires for the Opera a score of Anfossi, composed last year in Rome, Mr. Wiseman will help him, but should not know the nature of the commission; his wife could not make the journey due to her health; his best wishes to Mr. Romney and the Paines; letters should be addressed to him at Naples care of Leigh Banker.

A note on the cover reads "an eminent musician, died at Rome and buried by Mr. Humphry."
