Content Description
He has received much news of Humphry while he was away, the account provided him by Collett, the Genoese consul was particularly enjoyable; he is certain that Humphry will be successful in oils; as he is a "dabler" he requests to have two heads, one in watercolour, the other in oil, for his instruction, the piece of Humphry's he already has is held sacred; he sends some stanzas, "long since penned" (verses on verso).
