Writing in raptures after the appearance of the letter and appeal for Alfred Gilbert. She and the Duchess are so glad he wrote it, and not the Duke of P.. She asks what he thinks they should do next.

She introduced Gilbert to her lawyer, Sir P. Freeman, and they got on so well that he has represented Gilbert for six years, gratis. He also represents the Duchess.
