Hennes had informed Miss Biggs that Middleton Todd did not have the Degas portfolio from the library. He was sorry to learn that Middleton Todd was thinking of not sending in to the RA that year: what about the head of Miss Clarke he had painted before he left there [Leicester]? He could well understand how busy he must be with his new job at the Poly.
