Frank Cadogan Cowper, 38 Barrow Hill Road, St. John's Wood, to his mother
He is pleased to have sold
Hamlet. He has been fully occupied painting the
King's coronation vestments for
Abbey, a challenge as the robes glitter "like a pantomime fairy". Next he has to paint in a "marvellous" Persian carpet, Abbey has yet to touch the work. The Abbey's seem pleased with him.
Spielmann has asked for a coloured drawing of
Henry VIII for which he is to receive £20.
Byam Shaw and
Mrs. Brickdale are also contributing to this project.
He is sorry about the recent trust fund bother and will send money soon. The Abbey's have left him alone in the house with the caretaker.
