Content Description
Poynter asks to know if the Council would agree to give house room at the RA to a plaster statue of Achilles wounded by
Thomas Banks, RA. The statue stands in the entrance hall of the Horticultural Gardens in South Kensington, where it had been placed some time ago following the demise of the British Institution. Poynter is particularly interested in preserving the statue as he is Banks's sole male descendant.
