She thanks him for his generous contribution to Canova's tomb, and provides details as to progress made, she believes Thorvaldson is to make a bas relief; she asks him to buttonhole Westmacott, Chantrey, Beaumont and anyone else who might have an interest in Canova's monument; the Cardinal's health is improving; she has told Camuccini that he must repaint the room where the picture of the King is to go; she admires the work of Mr. Gott and will push D.D. to buy something from him, she does not like Campbell's work so much and thinks Gibson and Wyatt the best English sculptors; she heartily supports the new Academy in Rome and stresses that the Royal Academy should support it annually; Lady Abercorn is in a wretched state, but she still loves her; she asks if the portraits of the Pope and the Cardinal are to be engraved, as everybody would want one; also asks if he is able to send a copy of the head of Prince Schwarzenberg to Vienna.
