Content Description

He has sent his Letters of Attorney. The miniatures arrived safely and he is making copies of them for the King or Queen. He is now claiming 45,000 rupees from the Nabob as he was originally promised half a lakh; circumstanced as he is about the persons of the Royal Family, he expects payment in full, with interest. He has been advised throughout by Sir Elijah Impey, John Petrie, etc. He has written more fully by Mr. Benjamin Wyatt who should have reached Bengal by now; education and character of latter and high esteem in which he and his father, James Wyatt, are held by the Royal Family, Mr Pitt and other great men. Sends two letters to the Nabob Vizier [see HU/8/49, 53] and asks to have the appropriate one translated into Persian and sent off. His account with Burgh & Palmer, and arrangements if the debt is paid off.
