Content Description
He writes after receiving a copy of her letter to his old friend Mrs. Marshall, concerning the efficacy of his medicine for complaints of the eye. The
King has enquired over the state of his eyes in the past and says that his own are improved but still bad, courtiers subsequently told him that talk of his eyes causes the King uneasiness. They did look inflamed and he cannot recognise those around him. He hopes to introduce the King to the benefits of Mrs. Marshall's treatments.
