Content Description
Paramore writes to say goodbye after being awarded a commission in the 8th Bn. Royal Berkshire Regiment. Paramore thinks that people will be far happier and contented than ever they were before, when "this damned war" is over. He adds in a postscript that the afternoon he spent at Rushbury's house was "an oasis in This Bewilderment."
