Content Description
The death of the Nabob makes it unlikely that they will recover a single rupee, but they are taking advice on the best way to proceed. The Nabob only paid back the money he had received. If the powerful personages he mentions would use their influence, all might be quickly settled.
Includes a note by Humphry that this was received 15 Jul 1799, and that Charles Barber came to England in an exhausted state and died 11 Aug 1799.
