Draft letter providing information about a small picture entitled 'The Picture Book': it was painted possibly in 1940, was first exhibited at the Royal Academy in an exhibition in aid of the Red Cross Fund and was purchased under the terms of the Chantrey Bequest. The girl in the picture was probably a Chelsea model.
