A group of individual annual balance sheets [general statements], both manuscript (including drafts) and printed. The balance sheets are either adjusted from the main RA annual accounts (or general fund) to include transactions relating to the various special funds administered by the RA, e.g. 1872 and 1873 (which include the Turner Fund), or split into a main RA annual balance sheet with separate balance sheets for the funds, e.g. 1904 (which has separate balance sheets for the Turner, Chantrey, Cooke, Creswick, Landseer, Armitage, Cousins, Newton, Brizo, Edwards and Leighton Funds). Many of the manuscript balance sheets are signed by the Auditors to indicate approval; some are signed by the Treasurer. The printed copies include Auditors' reports. The papers include an annual statement of amounts received from Messrs Spiers and Pond for rent of the Refreshment Room and a statement of miscellaneous (or "extra") receipts paid in by the Registrar, 1897-98. There is also one ms quarterly balance sheet: Midsummer to Michaelmas 1880.
