Agreement for the erection of a monument to Elizabeth Ottley

Between Joseph Wilton and William Young, on behalf of Richard Ottley, of the Island of St. Vincent. £110 to be paid in hand, £120 to be paid on the 25 Dec 1768, a further £120 to be paid on delivery of the monument onboard ship. Wilton to pack the monument securely and deliver the cases to a ship on the river thames. The whole to be completed within twenty months of the agreement.

Memorandum appended to the effect that Wilton supply a grave stone "of an usual length and breadth" with inscription and coat of arms, for an additional six guineas.
