To allow both the RA and Patrons to take advantage of available tax benefits, your Patronage fee is made up of two parts: a portion that covers the taxable benefits you receive, and a charitable donation.
The benefit portion is £600 for Silver, £1,000 for Gold or £1,600 for Platinum, and should be paid to the Royal Academy of Arts in GBP Sterling from a personal or business account. If you are paying from a business account, please seek professional guidance as this may have adverse tax implications for you.
The donation portion is £900+ for Silver, £4,000+ for Gold or £8,400+ for Platinum and can be made in the following ways:
• From a personal or business account.
• From a charitable trust or foundation.
• Give As You Earn.
• CAF/CAF America.
• via the American Associates of the RA Trust.
If you are a UK taxpayer and you make your donation from a personal account you can choose to Gift Aid it, increasing your donation to us by 25% and allowing higher rate taxpayers to claim greater tax relief. US taxpayers can take advantage of American tax benefits by making their donation in dollars through our American Associates. Contact the Patrons office for details.
