Christopher Le Brun Monograph

£ 65

Buy

This is the first major survey of Le Brun's work and includes commissioned paintings, prints, sculpture and drawings, together with documentary images of studio interiors and notebooks in facsimile. It combines the classic monograph with an artist's perspective to produce a new hybrid, and a unique insight into the creative process.
An introduction by Charles Saumarez Smith, Royal Academy Secretary and Chief Executive, an essay by Norbert Lynton, art historian and critic, and a dialogue with Bryan Robertson, former director of the Whitechapel Gallery, set Le Brun's work in context.
The publication has 310 pages with 180 colour illustrations and 20 b/w illustrations and measures 25x33.5cms.
