Inspiration: I’ve always been interested in the way people interact with each other and so played on the idea of ‘talking to myself’. I was inspired by the way Cindy Sherman built a body of work taking multiple photos as different characters. I wanted to extend on this idea by using photo montage techniques to create a dialogue between myself in other characters, each one reflecting a fragment or caught moment of identity.

Title: Confiding In Myself

Description: I took a sequence of self portraits each in a different pose with a different outfit and hairstyle to create different characters. I then used Photoshop to arrange the characters to compose my single picture. The composition was intended to look unplanned and natural which hopefully makes it seem more realistic and only on closer inspection can you see that these are all manifestations of the same person.
