Terms and Conditions for Royal Academy Events & Lectures

• Your tickets will be posted to you. If you book less than three to four working days before an event then your tickets will be held and can be collected on the door of the event.

• Tickets for Free Lunchtime Lectures will not be posted to you. If you have booked online then please bring a copy of your confirmation email with you to be checked on the door of the event.

• You can also book Events & Lectures tickets when you visit the Royal Academy at our box office.

• Except for Free Lunchtime Lecture bookings, a 50p booking fee will be added per transaction (unless otherwise stated).

• Ticket holders consent to the photographing, recording and filming of themselves as members of the audience.

• Cameras, recording equipment, food and drink are not allowed in lectures.

• Venues for RA Events & Lectures vary; please check your ticket or the Royal Academy website for details.

• Reductions are available for students, jobseekers and people with disabilities with recognised proof of status. Please note that reductions are not available for Friends Events.

• There is a handling charge of £5 for all refunds; refunds cannot be made less than fourteen days before an event.

• RA Events & Lectures do not accept cheques, postal orders or stamped-addressed envelopes.

• Friends Events are only open to Patrons and Friends. Each Patron or Friend may buy one guest ticket.

• Friends Events booking forms are balloted on a weekly basis; please list your choices in preference order.

• When an event is running on more that one day and/or time and you do not choose a time, we will select one for you.

• Excursion coaches do not leave from inside the Royal Academy courtyard, but from the street outside on Piccadilly. Coach return times are approximate.

• Gallery talks, Friends Events and some Workshops require walking.

• The Royal Academy reserves the right to refuse admission to any event.

• All RA Events & Lectures and ticketing procedures are correct at time of publication, but are subject to change without notice. Whenever possible, changes will be posted on the Royal Academy website.
