Bill Woodrow RA Academician’s Preview Tour
5 November 2013
Bill Woodrow RA, 'Camera and Lizard', 1981. Camera, 19 x 27 x 13 cm. Collection of the artist. Woodrow was one of a number of British sculptors to emerge in the late 1970s on to the international contemporary art scene, alongside Richard Deacon and Antony Gormley. This retrospective will span Woodrow’s early work made from materials found in dumps and scrap yards, to his later use of large consumer goods, altering them and giving them a new context and narrative in his work.
