American Associates 2008

1 Jan — 31 Dec 2008

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the American Associates of the Royal Academy Trust (AARAT), and promises to be a year filled with many exciting events. In June, the American Associates travel to London for a week filled with exclusive access to London’s finest cultural activities and exciting day excursions in and around the city. As always, the American Associates are granted behind-the-scenes access to the Royal Academy, receptions with leading Royal Academicians, as well as an insiders’ glimpse into the Summer Exhibition. The culmination of our trip is the Triennial Summer Ball.

On Thursday, 23 October 2008, the American Associates hold our 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner Dance at the spectacular Rainbow Room overlooking New York City. We are honoured to welcome a member of the British Royal Family at this premier event. The evening includes the presentation of the Benjamin West Award and John Singleton Copley Award. Be sure to save the date for this milestone event!

As we pass our quarter century year, we are making plans for the evolution and expansion of the American Associates to keep pace with the 21st century. We look forward to having an ever closer working relationship with the Royal Academy and we take great pride in continuing to carry out our mission to raise funds for, and awareness of, the Royal Academy of Arts.
