School Workshops
From Russia workshop, Blue Gate Fields Primary School RA Education offers an extensive programme of practical hands-on workshops for both primary and secondary schools throughout the school year.
Primary workshops consist of an introductory interactive slide discussion on the exhibition, followed by a visit to the galleries in small groups of 3 or 4, each led by a trained education mediator. Then students then take part in a practical hands on session specifically tailored to suit the exhibition. All primary workshops are scheduled for 10.15am - 1pm.
Secondary workshops consist of an introductory slide lecture, exploring key themes of the exhibition, followed by a visit to the galleries and a lunch break. The students then return for a practical hands-on session specifically tailored to suit the exhibition. All secondary workshops are scheduled for 10.15am - 2.30pm.
Workshops are £200 per session (maximum number of 30 students).
Due to the generous support of the Pidem Fund we can now offer a number of workshops free to primary and secondary state schools.
