The Royal Academy of Arts is one of the UK’s foremost arts institutions, famous for its world class exhibitions including Van Gogh, Anish Kapoor and David Hockney, and whose purpose is to be a clear, strong voice for art and artists. Its public programme promotes the creation, study and enjoyment of art to a wide range of audiences through exhibitions, education and debate.
We are currently looking for an experienced Sustainability Coordinator to join the Buildings and Estate team. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience of reducing energy consumption and a robust understanding of relevant legislation. They will have experience of introducing energy saving and environmental sustainability strategies and policies along with maintaining systems for measuring their effectiveness. They will educate and raise awareness of sustainability issues within the Academy.
The successful candidate will be highly computer literate, able to produce complex reports and be an advanced user of MS Office suite. With the ability to introduce and coordinate effective administrative systems, they will be methodical and well organised and also administer utility contracts.
Well presented, friendly, assertive, articulate and confident, they will possess first rate communication skills to build effective working relationships both with internal colleagues and external suppliers.
