Project Director, Heritage Lottery Fund Project

(12 month fixed term contract with possible extension upon successful completion of Heritage Lottery Fund Second Round application)

The Royal Academy of Arts is one of the UK’s foremost arts institutions, whose purpose is to be a clear, strong voice for art and artists.

As the Academy embarks on ambitious and innovative plans to develop 6 Burlington Gardens into a cultural centre of excellence, it requires an experienced Project Director to manage the delivery of the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) Second Round application. This will include the development of an Activity Plan, and its full integration with building design proposals, to be submitted to the HLF by August 2013.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing the full life cycle of large scale HLF development projects. Delivery focused, they will be a strong people and project manager, highly organised, IT literate, commercially strong with a sound knowledge of the heritage sector and HLF funding process requirements, ideally within a similar industry (buildings and organisations of historic and cultural importance).

Second interviews to be held week commencing 3 September 2012
